15:01 T-shirts are selling well

Ismo Alanko Säätiö and Zen Cafe are the best selling t-shirts in the booth next to the Relax stage. Merja who works for a company called Duckwalk from Helsinki is touring the music festivals for the fourth summer.Merja, 32, is at Ilosaarirock for the first time. Her colleague Ari has been selling t-shirts at festivals for 25 years.

Merja says  that apart from going to the toilet and getting something to eat she hasn’t had a time to do or see anything else.

But then again she’s not that bothered as she’s already seen so many gigs this year already.

Apart from selling t-shirts at all of the summer festivals Duckwalk sells them on their website.

There hasn’t been a clear favourite in this years Rokki but sort of ”trend” t-shirts with different slogans are selling well. Instead of a picture of the band or their logo the t-shirts have bits of their lyrics on them.

Merja says the audience have behaved themselves really well. And everything has been fine except the Portaloos.

Both Merja and Ari noticed how they filled up right to the top on Saturday night before the cleaning crew emptied them.

”There should be more of the loos and they should be emptied more often, Merja wishes.
