15:38 CMX Played At Ilosaari Once Again

This was a day many believed wouldn't come: CMX at Ilosaari once a gain after having announced their “final” gig right here back in 1999.

The band got on the main stage on Sunday night and drove their faithful audience wild with their melancholy and aggressive set.

CMX let the audience wait for a while and played about ten minutes worth of international radio that culminated in the chant Cloaca Maxima before they got up on the stage escorted by huge applauds.

The band had chosen the heavier songs from their large selection. At ilosaari they played among others: Vainajala, Surumurhaaja, Ei yksikään and Vallat ja Väet which got the audience singing along enthusiastically. The band has its own particular listeners who proved that CMX is rock and that you can also dance to it. The most ardent fans, especially the boys, even looked like A.W. Yrjänä in their style of clothing. One can assume that many were a bit disappointed because the band did not play any of their beautiful ballads such as Pelasta Maailma and Ruoste although the expectations were high.
