APULANTA

For anyone even remotely interested in Finnish music, Apulanta is a band that doesn't need any introductions. This is Apulanta's tenth performance in Ilosaarirock. The first time was in 1994, when the band had released a couple of EPs and had a minor cult following in punk circles. Now, more than ten years later, things have somewhat changed. What was once a disarmingly awkward trio of young lads is now a professional rock band, capable of filling up any venue with their charisma, and proud fathers of eight acclaimed albums, many of which have gone gold or even platinum.

Even so, in one respect nothing has changed. The years and the accumulation of fame haven't been able to wipe out Apulanta's perseverant, unsubmissive attitude, the band's hallmark ever since the very beginning.
