If you think that Indica is just another girl group, assembled by some record company executive with dollar signs glittering in his eyes, may we please ask you to think again. Indica's frontwoman, vocalist and songwriter Jonsu is a passionate music lover, and has been that way for almost all her life. The young lady began her prodigal career as a six-year-old kid, composing one-minute-long symphonies, later went on to play the violin, and found the gospel of rock'n'roll when she was fourteen.
Indica's success is not a miracle, but the result of intense rehearsing and an unwavering artistic vision. The debut album Ikuinen virta (2003) went quickly gold, staying in the Finnish Top 40 charts for more than thirty weeks. The second album Tuuliset tienoot is another example of Indica's affinity for all things mystic and romantic, but is even more inspired by fairytales and dream-like moods than the debut. All the cynicism of the modern world remains helpless against Indica's disarming romanticism.
