Who could have believed that Lemonator, the dedicated fans of all things yellow, would eventually stick together for more than ten years? Their debut album Yellow was a feast of happy-go-lucky power pop, but already on their second album Maison Rilax they found a new, more reflective and ambitious mood. Finally, The Waltz (2000) was the album that claimed Lemonator a permanent place in the hearts of both critics and pop audiences.
After a couple of years of silence — during which the band's members have been involved in other projects — Lemonator is here again, ready to reaffirm their old friends and to make some new ones. Their new album At the Presence of Great Beauty is one of the most awaited ones this spring, and their summer gigs will undoubtedly charm the festival crowds all over the country. Lasse Kurki, the band's vocalist, has a beautiful falsetto voice that reminds one of hot chocolate sauce being poured on vanilla ice cream.
