MOKOMA

This is Mokoma's fifth consecutive gig in Ilosaarirock. The first time was in 1999, after the release of the band's first album Valu. In an interview made a bit later, the singer Marko Annala was not completely happy about the band's performance, but since then everything has changed. Ever since Mokoma's third album Kurimus, which radically updated the band's sound and style, their fame has been in a steady upward rise, and on the new album Kuoleman laulukunnaat the band is heavier than ever.

It is not rare to hear that a band gives all they've got onstage. This time it is not just a cliché. Mokoma won~Rt give a toss whether they've got a crowd of fifty or five thousand people, they shake the ground all the same.
