WILD WILLIE & BIG DEAL

Wild Willie & Big Deal relies on the rootsy side of rock'n'roll. Their frantic delivery is a combination of rockabilly and rhythm and blues, but they also know how to cut an occasional tear-jerking ballad.

During their 15-year career, Wild Willie & Big Deal has released two albums: Tie Up & Jive (1999) and Boogie Station (2004). Even if the records are good, it is evident that Wild Willie's real cup of tea is live performance, and my, haven't they performed live over the years, touring even Germany for several times. Besides that, they have released material in Japan, and earlier this year the hip NY newspaper The Village Voice cited this Joensuu-based band as one of the true keepers of the modern independent rockabilly underground scene.
