KAKKA-HÄTÄ 77

Kakka-hätä 77 (sorry, but we cannot hold it much longer: the name means "Toilet Urge 77" in English) is without doubt the band that will make the year 2007 memorable, at least in punk circles. In the days when the Finnish punk sometimes feels like it's turned into a finished, polished, carefully considered performance, Kakka-hätä 77 reminds us in its cheerful way that raffish amateurism is always better than self-important half-professionalism.

The only trouble is that Kakka-hätä 77's single has been spending time on the national single sales chart! Now this is a case for the punk police. Has the band sold out already?
