Kohu-63

Kohu-63 – as seen on TV! Yes, believe it or not, this humble-looking HC punk band recently featured also on the Finnish TV in an hour-long documentary film. It was the story of their American tour a few years back, and a very telling one to be sure. The bunch of little-rascals-cum-elderly-gentlemen toured the US and Canada, gathered crowds that were sometimes small (six listeners apparently being the record low) but always fanatic, and incredibly patiently tolerated the multitude of inconveniences caused by their miraculously amateurish tour manager and their shoestring budget.

Yet what makes Kohu-63 so valiantly grin and bear it in the asphalt jungles over the pond is their genuine love for music and their sincere wish to give every audience their money's worth. When the venue in New York can't supply the band with a decent drum kit, they gather together a jumble of different buckets and bins to be employed as their instruments. A lot of Kohu-63's attitude is crystallized in that one moment: the perseverance, the undauntedly jovial attitude, and the big hearts beating punk, punk, punk.
