Huoratron
Huoratron is the least predictable No. 1 act in the Finnish electro scene at the moment. Among the zillions of 12-inches released every single moment all over the world, Huoratron's 2008 debut $$ Troopers immediately kicked up a sizeable fuss, and not without reason. This man's 8-bit gadgets emit such an extremely virulent sound that the subsequent pieces of music can easily be called real killers on the dance floor, and this time the meaning is literal.
Huoratron is, first and foremost, a seamlessly working conjugation of striking sounds, gloomy visuals and merciless live performances. Whoever has seen him live and lived to tell the tale can testify that electro music can hardly get much more physical than this. As is the case with ever so many Finnish artists on the marginal side of the moon, also Huoratron's main market area and most concert venues are to be found outside the borders of this country: in Shanghai, Paris, Berlin... But this summer also in Joensuu, at Ilosaarirock Festival.
