Husky Rescue
Stylized, ethereal, absorbing, like music for a film with little explosions but a lot of thoughtful conversations. There you have some signposts in order to orientate yourself on your journey to the exquisite world of Husky Rescue. Originally a private pressure relief project for the bassist Marko Nyberg, in seven years' time Husky Rescue has grown into a five-strong feeling factory that uses the purest ingredients from the Finnish nature to produce delicate hand-made soundscapes not available on the mass market.
The band's roots may be modest and close to earth, but their present-day success is nothing of the kind. Their reputation has spread all the way to the USA, and the songs have been used to add a touching edge to such household commodities as a number of TV commercials and an episode of the Sopranos. But this is not to say that Husky Rescue has sold their souls to the corporate world, only that great music is bound to surface somewhere, even in the most unlikely settings. And it goes without saying that the fragility and elegance and the sheer magnetism of the songs is at its most intensive at gigs. Don't let yourself freeze to death out there, come in and join the heart-warming magic circle that only Husky Rescue can create.
