I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper

Buzzing, popping electronics club sets up a dance party

I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper – just IWaTSW between friends – comes to Ilosaarirock Festival with their third album Strange Lights still hot from the oven. As we all know, on every festival day there comes a time when you need just a bit of good old crazy partying. In those moments, let IWaTSW take care of yourself.

On a musical map, IWaTSW is somewhere between buzzing My Bloody Valentinesque alternative pop and Primal Scream's angry techno punk. Fragile moods and beautiful melodies shake hands with a fuming rhythm base that urges the audience up and dancing, and the band's stage presence is unapologetically peacocky, yet sympathetically homely. This full-grown boys' electronics club has honed their sweaty gig atmosphere into perfection by touring clubs both in Finland and abroad. No reason to be that serious all the time, let's have a ball!
