Nasum (SWE)

In 2004 the punk and metal world was shocked to hear that Mieszko Talarczyk, the singer for the widely acclaimed grindcore master Nasum, had died in the Thailand tsunami. The aggressive and socially conscious band had released four well-received albums under Relapse and Burning Heart and due to excellent festival gigs had gained a worldwide reputation of being great performers. However, Talarczyk's untimely demise ended the band's promising career. Nasum still released a compilation and a live album, but that was it. Or so everybody thought.

In 2012 Nasum reunite to celebrate their 20-year anniversary and will perform a few club and festival gigs. Replacing Talarczyk is Keijo Niinimaa, the front man of the Finnish Rotten Sound. It's not a comeback or the last opportunity to make money it is a goodbye that never happened due to the horrible disaster. The band announced that this is the last opportunity to see Nasum on stage, ever. They themselves say it the best: "No cheesy reunion, no new albus, no epitaph for Mieszko. It will be a total blast, and we aim to go out hard. Just you wait."
