In the spring of 2012 Antero Lindgren caught our music journalists unguarded. Who is this Antero Lindgren? Why no one knows anything? Is he really a Finnish artist? Yes indeed, Lindgren, a musician from Helsinki, crafted his debut album slowly and with care. Without the support of a major record label, any music performed in English is hardpressed to break trough here in Finland – unless the material is outstanding. And that's precisely what Antero Lindgren's debut album Mother is!

Lindgren's music is melancholic, delicate and captivating. His lived-in voice retells the classic song topics personally, yet as an outsider. Names like Mark Lanegan or Bob Dylan are not farfetched.
