The audience first got to know Laura Närhi as the lead singer of the Finnish trip hop band Kemopetrol. During her solo career, Laura Närhi's Finnish material has reached gold and platinum record sales. Her theme song to the movie Kuutamolla (Lovers & Leavers) was one of the most played songs on the radio when it came out in 2002.
