Thank you, thank you!

Ilosaarirock Festival 2014 is over. In every way we had the greatest festival so far. First of all we want to thank all of you, our dear festival guests.

On Saturday we had 22 000 daily visitors, on Sunday 23 000 visitors. Töminä and Sulo clubs had 10 000 visitors on Friday. Thank you for arriving at Laulurinne in such great numbers, and see you again at the next summer's festival between 17 and 19 July 2015.

Ilosaarirock Festival kicks off!

The wait is over – Ilosaarirock Festival 2014 is here! Töminä and Sulo club provides a traditional start on Friday, gates will open at 5pm. We also have a addition to our programme – Mustasch will attend at a meet & greet session at Ilosaari lounge on Saturday at 9.30pm!

Line-up complete, Töminä Club opens Ilosaarirock Festival on Friday

Ilosaarirock Festival's Töminä Club once again brings the finest selection of Finnish rockin' punk noise from bands like Beastmilk, Speedtrap and Relentless. This year, Ravileirintä and Niittyleirintä camping area customers get free access to Töminä Club! Complete list of bands at Töminä can be found here.

At Rentodisco, the finest DJ's will make sure that the beat goes on. Ilosaari Lounge provides nourishment for both body and mind. The lounge offers entertainment such as live interviews with the artists, film screenings and FIFA World Cup finals.

Opeth (SWE) to play at Ilosaarirock Festival

We are happy to fill our line-up with yet another name. Opeth will release their eleventh album, Pale Communion, in June. They will also make their only summer festival appearance in Finland at Ilosaarirock Festival on Sunday 13th July. For an updated list of artists, see Line-up.

More artists confirmed

New artists have again been added to the line-up of Ilosaarirock Festival 2014! Confirmed acts include masters of dark progressive rock Riverside from Poland and Finnish acts Death Hawks, Pää Kii, Oranssi Pazuzu, Santa Cruz, Lapko, The Blanko, Wasted, Night Lives, Risto, Rauhatäti & Tes La Rok, Aksim & Musta Barbaari, Lieminen and Pietarin Spektaakkeli. Rob Zombie cancels his Ilosaarirock Festival date

Rob Zombie has cancelled the last six dates of his 2014 European tour, including his Ilosaarirock Festival appearance. This is due to an unavoidable change in the production dates of Rob Zombie's new film project. Ilosaarirock Festival is deeply sorry for any inconvenience and despair caused and will soon publish the name of the act that fills in for Mr. Zombie.

Portishead, Alice in Chains, Ellie Goulding and many others

Today, Ilosaarirock Festival released perhaps the best Ilosaarirock Festival line-up ever. In the second weekend of July, Joensuu in Eastern Finland will host the legendary Bristol act Portishead (UK), the one and only Alice in Chains (USA), the piping hot star Ellie Goulding (UK), Harlem rapper A$AP Ferg (USA), Trentemøller's (DEN) mix of electronica and indie rock and Mustasch's (SWE) only summer gig in Finland.

In addition to previously announced Rob Zombie and Haim (both USA), there is also a stellar number of Finnish acts on the list: Jenni Vartiainen, Black Lizard, Ranger, Insomnium, Wolfheart, Gracias & The Globe Band and many others. See line-up for more details. Two-day tickets for the weekend and one-day tickets for Saturday or Sunday are available now.

Ilosaarirock Festival 2014 will take place between 11 and 13 July. The line-up will be completed during the spring.

Latest Updates

There is still room at our camping sites and school accommodation.

You can change your ticket for a wristband on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at ticket change points next to ice rink (see map).

The Ilosaarirock Festival info point will serve the audience through the weekend. It is located next to the Rekka Stage, about 50 metres from the Main gate. During the festival the lost and found is also at the info point. So if you have lost something, or find something that someone else has lost, just go to the info point.

After the festival on Monday at 12 noon, all items considered valuable are delivered to the North Carelian lost and found office, which answers to your queriest at number +358 600 550 127 (1,99 €/min + lnc). Office is open on Monday 14 July from 10am to 6pm.
