How to find a festival sweetheart – Part se7en – The End

(Read the previous installment here.)

“Love at first sight.”

Have you ever believed in it? Can anyone really fall in love the first time they set their eyes on someone? I most certainly have never believed in such utter croc, but this cynical old spinster had to change her beliefs.

Believe it or not (though there are pics that it did happen!) finding a festival sweetheart and falling in love at first sight is not just hogswash and old wives’ tales.

It all started when, as an innocent friend of rap music, I went to check out DJ Polarsoul‘s Rentoshow on the Rento Stage. I was just being the best fly girl I could, when He appeared. My stomach dropped and my feet went to Jello and angelic choirs started singing. What was this handsome and muscular man doing before me? My hair was a mess and there was a zit the size of a fake moon that was just about to go operational all over this man-god. In other words, not the best time for romance.

– Hey, I know you. Aren’t you the girl that’s looking for a festival sweetheart? Stop looking, I’m right here, he said to me.

– Uh, that’s right, I replied, smiling shyly, trying to keep my cool while my heart was doing 180.

– Come with me! Let’s go to that awesome beach, he suggested and took my hand.

What a roller coaster. I didn’t have time to do anything, before he lifted me out of the water to his muscular arms, to keep my skirt from getting wet. His embrace was strong and safe. It felt like I had found my place in the world. A fluttering hope started to creep into my heart, was my festival sweetheart finally here, wrapped between my legs in the warm waters of the Rento Stage beach?

With the sun shining above and rap music thumping behind us, we found out that we had surprisingly much in common. The chemistry and the sexual tension was tangible. Visions of our clothes strewn about my bedroom floor might have entered into my mind’s eye.

Why keep looking, indeed, I thought, and decided to seize the moment and the man before me. You had to give chemistry it’s chance. Plus, I remembered Asa‘s advice about guys with a glowing smile. The only thing glowing more than his smile was me.

They say you shouldn’t put all of your eggs into one basket, but I thought to hell with that. I’m going all out with this adorable prince charming.

Call off the search, I found my man.
