13:09 Q-Continuum grooved on the beach
Q-Continuum, who's been formed from the members of Quintessence from
Helsinki, plays improvisation-based groove-funk. The beach dwellers,
who along the day had gotten used to a lot more easier listening
experiences didn't seem too enthusiastic.
Compared to the turnout for the other bands, a very small group was
floppingly dancing in front of the stage. The slow tempo and the artsy
music of the band didn't quite fit the beach milieu. This band will
definitely fit like a glove in the elitistic clubs of the bigger
cities, but not here. Even I do not really understand, why this kind of
music is considered so magnificent. Every now and then I even forgot
that I was listening to music as it changed into muzak, elevator music.
Perhaps we're just too much of country pumpkins around here.
