19:01 In the little room

The back area of the Main stage is the only place in the whole festival where one can enjoy a proper WC. The audience have to use the often discusting Portaloos but the old faithful which is actually on site all year round gives you an opportunity to pretend for a moment: it's almost like sitting on a throne. That is if you've got an exceptionally good imagination.

As the toilet block is right next to the back stage office all the workers have a great opportunity to eavesdrop on the artists latest gossip as they stand in the toilet queue.

"So, how have this summers gigs been?"
"Well, we were in Vaasa yesterday and came straight here".
And so forth. Old friends meet each other.

Late gig start times and/or bright daylight seem to be the least favourite thing of most Finnish artists. Maybe all gigs should be moved into to the middle of winter. Then it would be suitably dark.
