19:24 Dark Tranquillity and their one man show

For a heavy metal band swedish Dark Tranquillity was surprisingly joyful and pulled off their gig with happy faces. The reason for this was the band's lead vocalist Mikael Stanes who moved and flirted with the audience like Iggy Pop during his glory days. With their melodic heavy metal Dark Tranquillity has sometimes been describe a bit confusing and not the easiest to listen. The swedish heavy metal band which has been around since the early 90's has lately simplified their music by paying more attention to the riffs and rythms. Maybe therefore on the day's gig the band concentrated mainly on their latest material from the album Character. But the audience got the best kicks, when the band played their 1995 hit song Punish My Heaven. In the end the performance was respectful and one of the nice surprises seen during the festival.
