What do you get when you have bunch of talented musicians, a truck-load of attitude and a strong affinity to Ramones? Yep. Tarakany.
Rockets from Russia, as their latest album is called, applies well to Tarakany. Energetic punk songs delivered with skill and attitude and a tad softer, melodic punk ballads took the audience by storm and the noise that followed their encore, a cover of Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop" threatened to tear the roof of the tent. It didn't even matter that I couldn't understand the Russian lyrics. Tarakany is definitely one of the Saturday's best bands.
