Raappana’s message of caring for one another and curbing conspicuous consumption resonated passionately with the Rento Stage audience. The leading figure of Finnish reggae, together with his more than explosive Sound Explosion Band, roused the whole beach into a dancing frenzy.
So popular was the performance that the extra slice of beach revealed by the exceptionally low water level proved to be a blessing.
The crowd greeted with special warmth the songs Kasvonpiirteet, which turned into a sing-along¸ and Maasta maahan, the last song of the set.
As expected, the fluent and flowing Sound Explosion Band played to their exquisite ability. The band, complete with a saxophone, trombone and two guitars, took hold of the audience and never let go.
