Sigur Rós and Motörhead to Ilosaarirock 2013

The first confirmed artists for Ilosaarirock Festival 2013 are Sigur Rós, Hot Chip, Nightwish, Motörhead, Pää Kii, Karri Koira and Disco Ensemble. Nightwish and Hot Chip will perform on Saturday 13th July, Motörhead and Sigur Rós on Sunday 14th July.
Two-day festival tickets (for Sat-Sun) are now on sale via Tiketti.

Ilosaarirock Festival weekend kicks off with Töminä Club!

The festival weekend starts in a tried-and-tested way with Töminä Club, an evening dedicated to punk and alternative noise. Artists include Terveet Kädet, a veritable Finnish hardcore legend, Vapaa Maa, a new-generation HC explosion, Murheenlaakso with its crushing guitar walls, The Splits that brings a female perspective to garage rock, The Valkyrians, a household name in ska circles, and Jukka Kiesi, a punk rock troubador. Alternative noise is the name of the game for Fun, as well as Räjäyttäjät, who are currently enjoying the beginning of big-time success.
