Finntroll

Finntroll, the greatest troll metal posse in the world march to Laulurinne in July to darken the sun with their pagan tunes! Founded in the last millennium, this folk metal band combines extreme metal to folk music, and they do it all in Swedish! Their unique blend has pushed Finntroll to the mighty company of other Finnish folk metal groups such as Ensiferum, Turisas and Korpiklaani. The band has toured the world tirelessly and gained a troll army of followers.

Their fifth album Nifelvind introduced a heavier and more twisted sound of Finntroll. The folk elements had given way to strong black metal influences in the songs. The band comes to Ilosaarirock Festival with their sixth album Blodsvept. The last visit of Finntroll in Ilosaarirock Festival was hyperenergetic and the following summer promises nothing less. The band provides definitely the most demonic dances and the mightiest moshing. Trollfolk, forward!
