What is Ilosaarirock, besides 42 years old?

The hundreds of volunteers and other Rock workers in their feisty red shirts are the heart and soul of the Ilosaarirock festival, charming festival goers wherever they roam. I did the rounds backstage to chat with volunteers who serve the crowds their beer, maintain order, sell T-shirts, administer first aid, retrieve empty pints and run the recycling operation and asked them to sum up the festival in just one word. This is what Ilosaarirock means to the people who make it happen:

Cream.
Feet.
July.
In-out-in.
Work.
Volunteering.
Happening.
Tradition.
Music.
Feeling.

Joy.
Sunshine.
Rush.
Youth.
Sweat.
Hurry.
Dimple.

Chaotic.
Sweet.
Warmth.
Ohmygod.
Brilliant.
Awesome.
Chill.
Top-notch.
Happy.
Colourful.

Rock.
