Def Jam's Big K.R.I.T. is the hottest thing in American hip hop. Following in the footsteps of such legends as Outkast, Scarface, and UGK, this Mississippian rapper/producer is one of the brightest rising stars of Southern hip hop.
Big K.R.I.T. aka Justin Scott drew attention and praise from Pitchwork to the hip hop press with his early mixtapes. The hype rocketed his debut album, Live from the Underground, straight to the top of the hip hop charts. In November 2014, his sophomore effort, Cadillactica, went all the way to number six on Billboard. Big K.R.I.T.'s career is in mad acceleration and he is expected to be the next Southern superstar.
Artists from Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, and Raphael Saadiq feature on the versatile Cadillactica.
