Finnish prog rock giants CMX are at the top of their game. Their fifteenth album, Mesmeria, soared straight to the pinnacle of the Finnish album chart and gathered praise from the critics. The album, which was produced by Arto Tuunela, has a fresh sound with a hint of the past. It has the same feel as those classic CMX albums from the 1990s which cemented A.W. Yrjänä and co's status on the Finnish rock walk of fame.

Mesmeria's songs like the single Rakkaudessa ja sodassa, the light and poppy Laavaa, and Tuleen kirjoitettu, which shares tones with the album Aurinko, add to CMX's already formidable array of choices for the set list. After all, their fame was built on numerous now classic songs which formed the backbone of their rambunctious live shows and led them to win just about every The best Finnish band of the year vote in the past twenty years.

For the local listeners CMX's gig offers an additional flavor as Olli-Matti Wahlström, who has played in his share of bands from Joensuu, sits behind the drum kit. Welcome home Olli-Matti!
