Ghost Brigade, a metal embassador from Jyväskylä released such an incredible album last year that the Ilosaarirock staff nearly fell off their chairs! IV – One With the Storm is brutal and dark, yet airy and catchy. The songs are filled with spectacular and comforting melodies, distortions the size of mountains and fateful atmospheres. The international metal colleagues really need to brush up their skills if they want to defeat the guys from Jyväskylä.

Ghost Brigade was formed in 2005, and they celebrate their tenth anniversary this year. The band has released four albums and evolved their diverse sound with each record. The band is part of the Finnish metal continuum, initiated by Sentenced and Amorphis. It is possible to hear influences from doom metal and the gothic growling of Paradise Lost, resulting in a package that is original and experimental. In the early part of 2015 the band will be touring in central Europe and their summer schedule is filled with festivals. Luckily for us, Laulurinne is one of their tour stops.
