Laineen Kasperi ja Palava kaupunki

Laineen Kasperi is an eclectic rap artist and hip hop producer who is also a recognized sound designer in the Finnish theatre scene. He creates dark soundscapes where heavy snare drums and distorted bass lines meet traditional instruments such as acoustic guitars and blues horns. He is as influenced by the popular British grime as the experimental hip hop from the States.

However, Laineen Kasperi won't be taking the stage alone in Ilosaarirock. For the last few years, he has been touring extensively with Palava Kaupunki, a band both soulful and funky. Kasperi is significantly, if not totally, different artist while performing with a live band. The organic arrangements of his tunes work like a charm.
