Ilosaari Lounge
The grassy field next to the Main Tent is home to Ilosaarirock Festival's hidden oasis, Ilosaari Lounge.
The cosy tent is ideal for chilling out on soft mattresses, having a coffee or a snack and watching the special Lounge programme. Performances of the Main Tent can be followed on the Lounge's big screens, and between the Main Tent artists, there are documentaries, live artist interviews and stand up shows.
During the Sulo Club on Friday, the Lounge duplicates as the second stage. Performers include TOOT TOOT, a duo consisting of Timo Kämäräinen and Olli Krogerus from Olavi Uusivirta's band; Tekramütisch, a special music band with special instruments and two special men, Toppo Koponen and Jukka Hyrkäs, of Kumikameli and Eläkeläiset fame; and Ilja Teppo, a singer-songwriter at the beginning of his solo career, whose father Jaakko Teppo has certainly shared with his son a tip or two on how to keep the audience entertained.
On Saturday and Sunday, Jusu Lounela from YleX interviews artists live in the Lounge. Early birds get the best seats!
