She seamlessly mixes together gothic elements with the traditions of folk and blues and has done it so well that she truly deserves all the praise she has received.

Mirel Wagner published her first, self-titled album in 2011 and convinced even the most pessimistic music lovers with her minimalistic but powerful stage presence and with her dark stories. And no wonder why.

With her latest album, released in August 2014, Wagner takes her listeners on a captivating journey to the other side – and there's no going back. The signer-songwriter does not hesitate to challenge the reaper himself to a staring competition – and she has no intention to be the one who blinks first.
