Sunset Strip in 1984? Not quite – Ilosaarirock 2015! Known for songs such as the hit single We are the ones to fall, Santa Cruz from Helsinki are a superb reminder of why mammoth choruses and dirty guitars used to rule the world once upon a time.
If the 2013 debut album Screaming For Adrenaline introduced the world to a young and sweaty band that had echoes of Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe in their sound, this year's sophmore effort will surely cement the fact that they're here to stay.
If the buzz generated by their latest radio singles is anything to go by, the year 2015 might just be the year of Santa Cruz.
