Sonik (FIN)
Sonik was formed in Joensuu as recently as 2013, but have already charmed friends of quality guitar rock throughout Finland. The band, which consists of experienced musicians who've played in such bands as Maryland, Stella and Rödsögården, plays music with influences ranging from Kari Tapio to The War on Drugs. Their ultra tasty and well-arranged melodic rock is topped by the singer Ville Härkönen's lyrics which tackle the drama of everyday life. Sonik has been brewing their debut album patiently. If the samples that Ilosaarirock Festival has received are any indication, the final product will be a treat. Gather around friends of quality music!
