Ihana Leijona (FIN)
Ihana Leijona is a real powerhouse of Finnish rock energy, drawing together some of the best musicians in the country. The leading light of the band is the guitarist Timo Kämäräinen, best known from the progressive rock duo Toot Toot and the bands of Ismo Alanko and Olavi Uusivirta. The group also features the drums and bass groove department of Olli Krogerus and Jaakko Kämäräinen, the syntheziser wizard Risto Ylihärsilä of Risto and Olli Haavisto, unarguably the greatest steel guitar artist of the North. According to Ihana Leijona, their music is influenced by traditional Finnish rock'n'roll, Frank Zappa and Jean Sibelius. Expect the unexpected.
