Now here's a band that the Ilosaarirock audience should really be looking forward to! Propagandhi are a legendary Canadian punk rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba and will play their only European show this summer at Ilosaarirock Festival. That's right, they are working on a new album this summer and will travel to Europe only to play this show. Pretty special, eh?

Formed in 1986 in Portage la Prairie, Propagandhi are a punk band that haven't shied away from political lyrics. Their post-90's output though, has leaned more and more heavily on heavy metal while keeping their lyrical approach intact. This band should therefore appeal to the Finnish metalheads as well. The closest local comparison is another festival attendee called Tryer. Both bands are all about energy, outstanding riffs, and an impeccable sense of melody.

Long story short, whether you're into metal, punk or exciting and energetic music in general, this show should not be missed! This band will leave you breathless and filled with excitement! In Finland's political climate today the Ilosaarirock crew are more than happy to welcome a radical left wing band that champion such causes as veganism and are against human rights violations, sexism, racism, homophobia, imperialism, etc. This band is without question very political and the Ilosaarirock team are proud to have them perform at our festival. Don't miss this, it's a rare opportunity to see this amazing band on this side of the pond.
