Vesala (FIN)
Vesala is the solo effort of Paula Vesala, best known from her career as a singer and lyricist of PMMP, the most popular Finnish pop rock group of the last 15 years. She's a multi-instrumentalist and an extremely versatile vocalist who is able to jump from classical style to hardcore punk screams and from dreamy chants to tight rap flow. The first singles from her new album seem to hint to an Americana-influenced record in the style of Lana Del Rey, but who knows? Vesala is always full of surprises.
