MØ (DEN)
Karen Marie Ørsted is also known as MØ [moe] and right now she is probably the greatest Dane, save perhaps the Lego bricks. Although her career started as a side project, she has already conquested the main stage at Roskilde Festival, won several awards and critical acclaim, and penned the supernova hit Lean On together with Major Lazer. Luckily in the summer of 2017 her world tour reaches Joensuu, too.
Mø's music is made of catchy melodies, enhanced by electronic beats and softly cooing vocals. However, there is no point trying to fit her into any specific genre. The festival audience is in for hypnotic electronic music, perfect pop pearls, guitars amped to the max, and one hell of a party gig.
