Last summer there was a great disturbance in the rock force. One of Sweden's most influential rock band The Hellacopters, which disbanded in 2008, decided to rally their troops once again to celebrate their 20-year-old debut album Supershitty to the Max. Luckily for us fans, this reunion gig was not a one-off, as this choppa is flying to selected festivals around the world. What's even better is that Ilosaarirock Festival is the only Finnish festival in their tour schedule next summer!
The Hellacopters were the biggest, the boldest and the most beautiful band of the 2000s garage rock. Nicke Andersson & co. developed their sound from the action filled rock blast of their debut album towards more harmonious hard rock. At the same time they created timeless classics such as By the Grace of God and Carry Me Home, which without a doubt belong to the canon of rock'n'roll songs.
This July, after waiting for almost a decade, we can finally enjoy the endlessly stylish and gobsmackingly gorgeous rock'n'roll hits live. Find your denim vests and peaked caps, for this summer it's time to rock them out!
