Ilosaarirock Festival, founded in 1971, is an outdoor festival for all ages. The event takes place at Laulurinne in Joensuu (street address: Linnunlahdentie 3) at a lakeside close to the city centre.
Ilosaarirock Festival is a three-day weekend that takes place 13.–15.7.2018. The three-day festival ticket is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, when a huge variety of events fills up the entire festival area. Tickets can be bought from Lippu.fi, Tiketti and record shop Levy-Eskot in Joensuu.
The large camping sites and parking areas are located right next to the festival area, and the distance between your tent and the stages can be just a few metres. Ilosaarirock is committed to offering its festival-goers great food, drinks and relaxation. The festival area offers all the essentials from diverse food to bathrooms, cloakrooms and free water taps, not forgetting accessibility.
Our most important values are volunteering, environmental protection and our love for live music. A share of the profits goes to supporting local bands and artists.
With its 60,000+ annual guests, Ilosaarirock Festival is one of the largest festivals in Finland. The event is organised by Joensuu Pop Musicians' Association, a non-profit association founded on the idea of supporting live music.
The festival site Laulurinne is a park-like area designed specially for large events with green grass and a beach. Ilosaarirock Festival has five stages, plenty of different services and entertainment.

The guiding principle of the Ilosaarirock Festival arrangements is that everyone should feel welcome at our festival.
The Ilosaarirock Festival site is a park with dirt roads, and the area is more or less flat except for the uphill to the Main Tent area. Near the festival area, there is a parking area with a limited number of disabled parking spaces. To park your car there, you need a designated disabled parking permit. There are viewing platforms near the mixing desks of the Main Stage, the Main Tent and the Rento Stage. Toilets with wheelchair access are located near the viewing platforms and in toilet areas.
Assistants of disabled people do not need to buy a ticket to access the festival area. Assistants get their wristbands at the ticket changing points at the Main Gate.
Changes to the line-up, schedules and other arrangements of the festival are always possible and will be communicated without delay. The general practice is that festival tickets cannot be returned or refunded due to such events.
