A highly individual R&B artist, Aida shot to fame with her debut single Kuplamuovii, which is an examination of body positivity. The song touches on the problems associated with public shaming on social media and encourages everyone to love themselves the way they are.
The peppy production and empowering lyrics have become Aida’s trademark; she is not afraid to address important issues or to take things to a personal level. The single Kato mun sormee is a very touching and intimate account of Aida’s experiences of domestic violence, as well as an attempt to urge other victims to speak up.
However, although Aida’s message bears a heavy weight, her urban pop is modern, playful and tongue-in-cheek, with some beautiful R&B as the icing on the cake. I’m telling you, this s*** is all the rage!
