Is there anything that rock virtuoso Jukka Nousiainen couldn’t or wouldn’t do? We highly doubt that! Jukka Nousiainen made his mark as the charismatic lead singer of Finnish indie bands Räjäyttäjät and Jukka ja Jytämimmit. More recently Nousiainen has focused on his solo career, and both his records and live performances have been pure dynamite.
Nousiainen is one-of-a-kind and do-it-yourself sort of man, famous for his ingenious song writing skills and ability to be 100% present in everything he does. Throw into this mix his tendency not give a hoot about what is expected of him, and the end result is a curious combination of carefully crafted, yet sweetly nonconforming guitar rock. Nousiainen’s latest album Ei enää kylmää eikä pimeää has received five star ratings and a very warm reception in the Finnish music circles. The bar has been set high and, knowing Jukka Nousiainen, his gig at Ilosaarirock in summer 2019 will be one to remember.
