Indie rock band Pasa have played together and entertained music fans with their catchy tunes since 2008. In January 2019 the band finally released their long-awaited second album Meistä piti tulla. Pasa’s fans’ patience wasn’t in vain: the new album shows a band that is playing at the peak of their powers. Songs like Jää vielä Helsinkiin, Ei vaihdeta numeroita, Yoko & John, Elvis ei meitä vihikään and Kunhan oot siinä mun vieressä brilliantly demonstrate Pasa’s ability to produce urban synth rock that is slick and modern yet steeped in the pop tradition.
The energy of these guys is highly infectious, while the lyrics focus on early adulthood with all its dreams, endless optimism and, sometimes, crushing disappointments. However, with Pasa’s winning combo of keeping it cool while filling the place with fun and games, you, for one, are not headed for a disappointment.
