Ruma, who is a master of sultry and expressive trap soul, released his debut album Ruma Helsinki last year. Since then he has toured Finland non-stop and filled club venues night after night. The tracks on the album weave their way through rootsy RnB, full-blooded rap and stylish urban pop, while the subjects cover anything from fun-filled beach parties to the problems associated with substance abuse. Ruma does not sugar-coat the grim realities of suburban life, yet he refuses to fall into despair: where there's a will there's a way.
