Sydän, sydän is the oddball of the Finnish alternative music scene. The band's twisted, postmodern rock has always swum against the tide, staying firmly away from the mainstream.
Since the band formed in Helsinki in 2002, Sydän, sydän has released seven albums of unorthodox material that is often peculiar and never dull. Their most recent album Keskiyöllä received five-star ratings for its hypnotic rhythms, catchy lyrics and nonsensical melodies.
If you’re after an all-out rock spectacle that is skillfully executed and sure to tickle the senses, look no further. But be warned: Sydän, sydän may just end up stealing your heart.
