Coronavirus update

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a major topic of conversation at the moment and Ilosaarirock Festival organisers have also received some questions in relation to it. This message contains the most up-to-date (13th of March) information regarding the virus and its impact on the festival:

The Finnish government announced new guidelines on Thursday the 12th of March, and currently recommends that events likely to draw more than 500 people should be cancelled or postponed until the end of May. The Regional State Administrative Agencies (AVI) are also expected to announce a ban cancelling large events until the end of May.

Ilosaarirock will be held between the 17th and the 19th of July, and therefore the current recommendations or bans do not affect us. In view of what is known at the moment, the festival will be organised as planned and none of the artists or bands due to perform at the festival have cancelled their attendance. Here at Ilosaarirock, we will continue as normal and are hard at work every day to organise the best weekend of summer 2020.

If Ilosaarirock Festival has to be cancelled at a later date, we will refund the tickets to those who have purchased them already.

Safety is of the utmost importance to us and we will follow any instructions and guidelines that are given. We also ask all of our customers to follow the guidance given by the authorities so that we can combat the virus and get through these unusual times together. Please take care of yourselves and look after one another.
