Disco Ensemble's debut album Viper Ethics (2003) made the Finnish music scene gasp with amazement and admiration. This was alternative rock never before heard in Finland. Disco Ensemble has got the flair of combining elements of punk and metal with touching melodies. Live, they add miraculous vigour to the composition. Vocalist Miikka Koivisto's performance in particular has aroused enthusiastic response in various occasions.
Now the band has released their second album First Aid Kit and showed the world even more manifold Disco Ensemble that plays tightly as ever. By the time they reach Ilosaarirock they will have finished their European tour. Undoubtedly this experience has knocked the band into such shape that others may have to watch out for this high flier.
