In spite of its inherent straining violence, Hero Dishonest's punk is, most of all, exhilarating. The band's ability to mix mad energy with clockwork-like playing is awesome. No wonder, then, that Hero Dishonest is a national treasure among Finnish punk bands.
Hero Dishonest's music is a display window for all the best features of punk and hardcore: the songs are speedy, asymmetrical, snotty – that is, far, far away from polished radio friendly mainstream "punk". But even in HC circles, mere mixing up of snot and loudness do not amount to anything very appealing. It's good to know that's not the case with Hero Dishonest. Somewhere under the surface the band has got an infallible idea of how to build up the perfect punk song and how to make it sound friggin' great.
