  HULLUT HATTUSET

Hats off to this bunch of mad hatters from Joensuu who came, saw and conquered the Finnish children's music scene! Welcome to a 45-minute world expedition without unnecessary expenses in the comfortable company of Hullut Hattuset.

Although the band was formed only in 2002, in a couple of years they have advanced steadily from touring in day nurseries to stealing the show in rock festivals. They started their career playing cover songs from the grand old man of Finnish anarchic children's pop, M. A. Numminen, but now their set list consists almost entirely of self-made material. Various musical styles from heavy metal to world music mix up smoothly, and the exhilarating lyrics about such topics as the horror of wearing waterproof trousers for day nursery make one's imagination go wild: who will be the first bold movie director to use Hullut Hattuset on a soundtrack?...

The word has it that Jay Kay from Jamiroquai is on the verge of eating his hat. That's because his impressive millinery collection is nothing compared to the multitude of headpieces in Hullut Hattuset's possession.
