Liekki's first album Magio (2001) was like an extremely beautiful postcard from some another world, a secret world where you can go only if you've got enough susceptibility and imagination.
On their second album, though, Liekki wanted to get rid of some of their overtly poetic image. Korppi (2003) also introduced to the public the band's new line-up: original members Janne Kuusela (vocals and guitar) and Teemu Soininen (bass) were now joined by Juha Kulmala (drums) and Okke Komulainen (keyboards) who had already been with the band in some earlier sessions.
This year's Rajan piirsin taa shows that Liekki as a band is now more united than ever. Although they now play more boldly than they used to, don't be afraid: the fairy tales are still there, even if the music that surrounds them has got a bit more volume now.
