The story of Poets of the Fall began in 2002 when Mark the vocalist and Ollie the guitarist met in Helsinki. Their co-operation resulted in some fine pop songs which were simply begging to be recorded, so the pack needed one more member, the producer-instrumentalist Captain. Early in 2005 Poets of the Fall released their long-awaited debut album Signs of Life which went straight to Number One in Finnish album chart. Their best-known song yet is undoubtedly Late Goodbye that was included on the soundtrack of the PC game Max Payne 2 and that will, among other hits, certainly make a suitable finale to the festival at the last club on Sunday night.
